Jana has been writing screenplays for the better part of a decade.

Her background includes stills photography and work as a post coordinator for feature films and VFX which lends her writing visual acuity, coupled with an informed economy.

Jana brings a wide knowledge of both story telling and the film industry itself to her screenwriting, teaching and her story editing of student screenplays.

Her feature film script, FEELS SO NEAR, was a quarter-finalist for the prestigous Nicholls Fellowship.  It also placed in the top 20 of the Phoenix Film Festival in 2009. 

Jana has created scripts for both feature films and TV; but her first love is independent film.
